Brent went Deep Sea Fishing with some friends a few weeks ago. This is not hard to do here on Guam seeing how you can go about 2 miles off shore and the water is 4000 feet deep. Not that they fish at that depth but it does get deep quick. They caught 3 fish between them but a good time was had by all. This is looking back at Guam from the boat.
The fish in the middle is a Mahi Mahi and the two others are called Wahoo. We all got to take home a decent amount of fish and he looks forward to going again.

New Pics
Do you have a favorite that I should frame?
Mother's Day 2012 Slideshow
Since I became a mom, Brent has put together a slideshow of pictures to music for a Mother's day gift to me. It used to just be pics of the kids but we decided to put everything in it as a family video yearbook. It's so fun to watch it with the girls as they love seeing themselves on TV (especially Jaycee.) The videos seem to get longer as the years go because we have been doing more things and are kids so fun to photograph. It's almost 15min. I'm warning you ahead of time. If you feel like investing the time and I hope you grandmothers do, enjoy our beautiful family from May 2011-May 2012.
Mother's Day Video 2012
I am grateful for all the time and effort Brent puts in to making these videos. They are so fun to watch now. And will be for years to come.

Afternoon exploring
One afternoon, we started driving south and stopped where we saw pretty beaches or signs of history. I think we all enjoyed it and will do it again to see what else we can find further down the road.
Easter - LATE
Okay so I have some serious catching up to do. This is from an Easter Egg hunt about a week before Easter. Brent had to work the day before Easter and unfortunately I didn't take any other Easter pictures. We did have three other egg hunts, planted jelly beans that grew to lollipops, found Easter baskets and had a nice Easter dinner with a friend.

Our little J-bird (Jaycee) turns 1
Last Sunday, Jaycee turned 1. We put on her birth announcement that she has been brightening our lives since 3/25/11. She continues to brighten our lives every day. She is such a happy little girl. She loves to smile and makes everyone around her smile too. She especially loves Morgan. They give hugs and play together now and it is so much fun to see.
Here is J-bird's birthday cake.
Before she started opening presents.

Actually opening presents. She really enjoyed ripping that paper and was usually excited about what was inside. Morgan stood very close by in case she required any assistance.

It took her a minute to get started eating the cake but once she did, she shoved huge pieces in her mouth. It was fun to watch.

Two days later, she received presents in the mail from both grandma's and aunt Kalli. Getting presents didn't get old.
Weight: 18lb 1 oz 6th%
Height: 28 1/2 in 25th%
She eats more than Morgan almost every meal yet remains in the 6th percentile for weight. I guess she too got her parents genes.
She started full on walking three weeks before her birthday and loves to climb. She is very independent but still a great cuddle bug.
She loves to go to the park and climb up the steps and go down the slide all by herself. If you try to help, she pushes your hand away. She will do it over and over again. She also tries to follow Morgan where ever she goes.
She is not much of a talker as far as words go but very vocal and it's not hard to know exactly what she wants. She says mama, dada, makes elephant noise using her arm for the trunk, and points to my nose and mouth on command. When she gives hugs, she'll pat you on the back if you pat her. She also leans forward to give kisses.
She does of course, clap, wave, and cover her own eyes for peek a boo.
She has her two bottom teeth and both on the top have broken through this week.
Happy Birthday Jaycee!
Day Date #2: Cliff Jumping & Cave Swimming
We ventured out on another day date. We headed out with some friends for a hike that had two destinations: an arch overhanging the ocean for cliff jumping and an underground swimming hole inside a cave.

Here is a partial view of the arch we jumped from.
Check out a video on youtube of Brent jumping from the arch.
The underground swimming hole was a first both of us. We navigated in the cave with our headlamps. The water in the cave was so pristine. Due to the complete lack of sunlight the water in the cave was probably only in the mid to upper 60's. It actually felt a little chilly compared to the warm ocean water we have grown used to.
