On Dec. 17th, the girls and I drove up to Nor. Cal where we would spend the next almost 6 weeks. We were able to have a wonderful Christmas and have lots of quality time with both Brent's family and my family before shipping off to Guam. Christmas was fabulous as usual. The progressive dinner, nativity, and cousin gift exchange were done a little early as Haylee and family were leaving. Then Christmas eve night all we had left to do was eat our wonderful Turkey feast, the Grinch gift exchange, the singing of Christmas carols, watching The Nativity movie (only part of it) and the sparkling cider toast. We were almost bored.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds.
Morgan got the shaft a little this year since everything we got for Christmas had to be packed in a suitcase. So all Santa could bring her was this singing, swimming, little mermaid doll. Mom and dad bought her a princess bike and helmet and a couple other gifts that were sent to Guam early.
She did get spoiled by grandmas though and magically, everything fit in our 9 pieces of checked luggage.
Jaycee was not quite ready to get up at the designated time of 6:30am so dad decided to join her back in bed.
Then it was off to the Collins for more gift exchanges, more good food, and some fun on the zipline in Sarah and Drew's backyard.
A great Christmas was had by all.
