We had a lot of fun spending time with our family over the Christmas break. The activities below are just a few. Brent had helped his dad cut some fire wood and was really tired one evening when we were at my parents and he said he wanted to head out a little early. However, the boys roped him in to a game of Texas Hold-em while the girls did some last minute wrapping. Around 11pm, I came out and told him I was ready to go whenever. He all of the sudden wasn't tired anymore (it could have nothing to do with the three cans of Mountain Dew he had downed) and told me to see if I could find more wrapping because it was going to be a while. I know it doesn't look like it in this picture, but by about 1am, Brent had swept the table and said we could head home.
He was also the star of the paint ball exhibition. He didn't get shot once so his team won every time. Since he never got shot, he was kind of embarrassed when the boys found out he was wearing a bullet proof vest he borrowed from his brother who's a local Sheriff. I'm sure they were just jealous.
Ahhh, Rock Band. Members of four different families got Rock Band for Christmas so it seemed where ever we went, there it was. Brent and I probably played for 15-20 hours over the break. Talk about a waste of time. It sure was fun though and if anyone has one they are willing to share, we'll be right over because we're going through withdrawals.

Morgan's First Christmas
Morgan's first Christmas was full of family, fun, and memories. However, I doubt she'll remember much of anything. Which is why we do a blog. Anyway, as you can tell, there were plenty of presents to go around.
At first, Morgan seemed pretty happy with all the commotion and noise. She played with the paper a little and looked at her toys but overall was still a little tired.
Before too long, she didn't care about the book daddy made her or anything else, she just wanted to go back to bed and was sure to let us know it.

Time with cousins
Morgan had a great time with her cousins on this trip. They didn't do a lot of interacting but they did sit by each other and play. This is Bode who is one day younger than her and lives in Utah.
Here is a picture with Lilly, Morgan's closest girl cousin. She's a little all over the place and Morgan was more interested in what Lilly was doing and getting into than Lilly was in playing with Morgan. She did stand still long enough to take this picture though.
This is Kasen and Morgan again. She is 5 weeks older than he is. During one of their photo shoots together, he saw Morgan's toes and immediately bent over to suck on them. Morgan didn't seem to mind one bit. What are cousins for?

The Outdoors!
We didn't get to enjoy the outdoors while in California nearly as much as we wanted to but that was our fault. One day we did head up highway 70, up toward the Sierra Nevada Mountains to check out some waterfalls. This is actually where Brent took me on our first date and we thought it would be cool to get a picture with Morgan there. Where it all began... Anyway, we went with Brent's parents, little brother and nephew. The weather was great and even though there wasn't a ton of water flowing, it was still beautiful and we're glad we went.
Here is Morgan with her grandparents. They did great on the little hike but Brent's mom is paranoid of heights and it was rather entertaining when one of us would get about 6 feet from the edge. She would freak out and say, "Get away from the edge!" over a over. To Brent's great delight, Morgan loved the outdoors and smiled almost the whole time we were outside.

We need the copyright!
While we were in CA, my mom decided we needed to take some pictures of Morgan and her cousin Kasen that she could put on her wall for Valentine's Day. She changes out her pictures for each holiday. Yeah, she is where I get my decorating from. She just has 50 times the amount of decorations. Anyway, so we took some pictures of this rose and some of the babies, then Brent edited them to make the picture below. However, when my sister ordered it to blow it up, Sam's Club called her and said they couldn't make it bigger unless they got the copyright. My sister told them that her brother in law had done it. They persisted that they couldn't do it without the copyright. Finally, she brought her son in to show it was him in the picture and they still made her sign three places and made a copy of the picture to keep with the file to show they did what they could but they still thought she was lying. We thought it was pretty funny but also a compliment to Brent.
This is the real reason Brent got to get his new laptop. So he can edit fun pictures like this.
