Hiking in St. George

The second weekend in October, we visited with my sister and her family in St. George. Brent talked about this trip a little in his recent post. He talked about hiking with my brother-in-law and nephew and sky diving but didn't mention the hiking adventure we all had together. My sister's neighbor had told her about this hike and that it would be great for the kids. Maybe she didn't realize we had a baby and two three year olds. It turned out to be about 4 miles and some of the terrain was rocky and steep. We have a way of ruining hiking for other people. The kids actually did great, the scenery was good, and we enjoyed the company. It was just longer than we had anticipated. Especially me, I was in flip flops.

Morgan insisted on bringing her backpack to carry her treasures she found along the way. It was empty when we arrived.

A weird little critter none of us had seen the likes of before.

My sister and I chatting away.

Our little hiking family.

The was the scout cave and our destination essentially. Morgan called it the mean witch cave.

Morgan and daddy had fun exploring the cave.

Thanks for the memories!

Quite a hike for flip flops and very small kids. Glad you guys made the most of it. Still looks like great memories were made.
